Tehran (IP) - In response to the US President's recent remarks on Iran's internal affairs, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson said neither Biden's statements nor America's interventions will ever surprise Iran.

Iran PressMiddle East: U.S. President Joe Biden said on Friday that "he was 'stunned' by how Iranians have reacted to the death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini, saying the nation has been 'awakened' by the women-led protests and won't be quieted fora 'long, long time'."

"Since the beginning of the recent developments, President Biden has repeatedly supported the unrest in Iran through interventionist remarks, Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman Nasser Kanaani wrote on his Instagram page on Sunday.

Kanaani: "Neither Biden's statements nor America's interventions will ever surprise Iran because intervention, aggression, and killing are the true nature of the American system, but the people of Iran are deeply rooted in history."

"On Saturday ... Biden interfered in Iran's state matters by supporting the riots ... In recent days, the U.S. administration has tried desperately to inflame unrest in Iran under various excuses," Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani said.

Saying that Biden has neither good memory nor trustworthy advisors, he reminded Biden that Iran was robust and tenacious enough not to yield to the empty threats and unfair sanctions.

Kanaani wrote that Iran is so dignified that it will not be shaken by the interference of a politician tired of years of fruitless measures against Iran.

Referring to the 1953 US-led coup against Iranian Prime Minister Mohammad Mosaddegh, he underlined that history and every corner of the globe testify that the world is covered with scars of U.S. crimes and aggression.

In its latest action to support the unrest in Iran, the U.S. Treasury Department announced that it had placed the names of seven officials, including Iran's Minister of Communications, on the sanctions list.

Previously, the U.S. Department of Treasury accused Iran's security police of "violence against women" and put it on the sanctions list.

On Tuesday, September 13, 2022, Mahsa Amini and some other women who violated the social dress codes were taken to one of the police departments in Tehran.

As the CCTVs show, Mahsforces' is talking with one of the Police staff when she suddenly faints and falls to the ground.

In a statement released on October 7, 2022, the Legal Medicine Organization explained the cause of the death. The statement stipulates that her death was not caused by blows to the head or any vital organs and parts of the body.
