Vienna (IP) - The Heda of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization (AEOI) said any pressure from the European side of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) on Iran to one-sidedly implement the agreement is rejected.

Iran PressEurope: Iran's international nuclear agreement or the so-called Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) was signed between the country and P5+1 countries (Russia, China, UK, Germany, France, and the US) in 2015, to lift the West's sanctions on Iran, but the US scrapped it on May 18, 2018, re-imposing more sanctions on Iran.

Before his departure from Vienna to Tehran, Mohammad Eslami told Iran Press on Wednesday that the AEOI is fully committed to Iran's Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) within the framework of the safeguard agreed upon in the 2022 winter and the NPT.

Mohammad Eslami made the remarks on the sidelines of the 67th Regular Session of the IAEA General Conference.

Eslami said that the meeting was different from the previous years in that Iran was under the European side's psychological pressures and propaganda against its nuclear program as well as the Israeli regime's constant threats against the program.

He said that the European side is inculcating to the world's general public that Iran's nuclear program is not peaceful and that the Islamic Republic must be fully committed to the JCPOA while the European side has not fulfilled even a clause of the international agreement.

The Head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization reiterated that the Islamic Republic rejects the European side's self-improvised definitions and readings to put pressure on the AEOI to reinstall cameras in the mode of the pre-JCPOA era.

Eslami also reported an exhibition set up on the sidelines of the meeting to expose the Iranian nuclear achievements in order to make the nature of Iran's nuclear program more transparent to other countries and nuclear scholars.
