Tehran (IP) - The spokeswoman for the Ministry of Health, Sima Sadat Lari on Wednesday in her presser said, so far, 264,561 people in the country have definitely been infected with the coronavirus, and 227,561 of total infected people have recovered and discharged so far.

Iran Press/Iran News: Sima Sadat Lari said on Wednesday about the latest data on the coronavirus in the country and the deaths caused by the virus, "According to the definitive laboratory findings and from yesterday to July 15 in the country, 2,388 new patients with COVID-19 were diagnosed in the country and the number of patients with this disease reached 264,561," 1,775 of the new patients were hospitalized.

The Spokeswoman said, "Unfortunately, in the past 24 hours, 199 COVID-19 patients have lost their lives, and 13,410 people have lost their lives in the country to date." The official stated, "3,411 patients are in intensive care units."

"So far, around 2,048,049 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted in the country," the Health Ministry spokeswoman said.

According to the spokeswoman, the provinces of West and East Azerbaijan, Ilam, Bushehr Khuzestan, Khorasan Razavi, and Mazandaran, Zanjan, Kurdistan, Kermanshah, Golestan, and Hormozgan provinces are in the red. The provinces of Tehran, Fars, Kerman, Ardabil, Isfahan, Alborz, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, South Khorasan, Lorestan, Hamadan Yazd and North Khorasan are on alert.
