Tehran (Ip) - The spokeswoman for the Ministry of Health, Sima Sadat Lari said, so far, 252,720 people in the country have definitely been infected with the coronavirus, and 215,015 of total infected people have recovered and discharged so far.

Iran PressIran News: Sima Sadat Lari on Friday about the latest data on the coronavirus in the country and the deaths caused by the virus, said: "According to the definitive laboratory findings and from yesterday to July 10 in the country, 2,262 new patients with COVID-19 were diagnosed and the number of patients with this disease reached 215,015."

1,455 of the new patients were hospitalized, she said.

The Spokeswoman said, "Unfortunately, in the past 24 hours,142 COVID-19 patients have lost their lives, and 12,447 people have lost their lives in the country to date."

The official stated, "3,319 patients are in intensive care units."

So far, around 1,922,501 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted in the country," the Health Ministry spokeswoman said.

According to the spokeswoman, the provinces of Khuzestan, Hormozgan, Bushehr, Kermanshah, Kurdistan, Ilam, West, and East Azerbaijan, and Khorasan Razavi are in the red situation.

The provinces of Tehran, Isfahan, Mazandaran, Golestan, Alborz, Kerman, Yazd, Sistan and Baluchestan, Hamedan and Ardabil are on alert.
