Tehran (IP) - Iran's President said the American police crackdown on the American university students showed the real face of the US.

Iran Press/Iran news: The US police intruded on the country's universities, including Atlanta University in Georgia States, to suppress the American students and professors who held gatherings to protest the Israeli regime's genocide in Gaza.

Presenting a speech on Thursday for the people of southern Tehran, Ebrahim Raisi said that until yesterday, the Westerners advocated respect for knowledge and the university, but today, the police attacked universities and harassed students who gathered to support Gaza and Palestine.

He described Gaza as a picture in front of the eyes of the world in which resistance and sacrifice for the sake of God are depicted besides genocide and crimes against humanity.

Raisi said the Israeli regime and its supporters are the criminals in history and the biggest violators of human rights.

Iran's president referred to his recent visit to Pakistan and said as the representative of the Iranian nation conveyed their message to the Pakistani nation:

"The holy system of the Islamic Republic of Iran is determined to practice resistance against all enemies."

Since October 7 and the beginning of the all-out Israeli war on Gaza, over 34,000 people have been martyred and over 76,770 others have been wounded.

People in Gaza are simultaneously coping with both the Israeli strikes and the famine emerging out of the regime's war on Gaza.

The genocide awakened the whole world; Just on Wednesday over 130 students were arrested at the New York University campus during pro-Palestinian protests as student demonstrations continue in the US over the Israel-American genocide in Gaza.

The US is the main supporter of the Israeli regime that has occupied Palestine for more than 7 decades.
