Tehran (IP) - Iran's Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Handicrafts Ali-Asghar Mounesan said that traveling to Russia for Iranian and vice versa will be visa-free in the near future.

Iran PressIran news: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press on the sideline of the Guardians of Cultural Heritage ceremony in Tehran, Mounesan said: "For developing the tourism industry, we have to facilitate ways of tourists entering the country."

"Oman is one of our targets, next market with 150 million tourists is China and both countries are visa-free now," he added.

Mounesan highlighted: "Our next market is Russia and it is planned that our new ambassador, Mr. Jalali, in 'MITT exhibition' which is going to be held in Mosco next month, will have held meetings and pursued the issue."

The minister said: "That hopefully visa-free agreement will be signed with Russia which is a market with 20 million tourists, and this will create a close relationship between two countries since we have good economic relations with Russia."

"It is worth mentioning that only those who travel with a group through travel agencies will include visa-free," the minister concluded.
