Tehran (IP) - The closed session of the Iranian parliament (Majlis) devoted to domestic and foreign affairs, regional and international issues of concern, with particular emphasis on the Joint Comprehensive Plan Of Action (JCPOA) got underway on Tuesday morning.

Iran Press/Iran news: An MP representing 'Golpayegan' in the Iranian parliament (Majlis), Ali Bakhtiari, has said bearing in mind that Wednesday 8 May 2019, is the first anniversary of America's withdrawal from the Iran nuclear deal, the Joint Comprehensive Plan Of Action (JCPOA), a major portion of Tuesday's closed session of the Majlis will be devoted to the subject of US abrogation of JCPOA, with Iranian parliamentarians scrutinising and analysing the many different facets of this major event, Iran Press reported.

Meanwhile, in a live televised and radio address on Wednesday, President Hassan Rouhani will announce Iran's retaliatory actions against the US withdrawal from the 2015 nuclear deal.

A source close to the supervisory board monitoring the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) said on Monday that Iran will remove some limitations on its nuclear activities which had been suspended under the agreement.

The measures will be within the framework of articles 26 and 36 of JCPOA, and quitting the deal is still not on the agenda. 211/103
