Iran Press/Iran news: Member of the Majlis presiding board, Seyyed Amir Hussein Ghazizadeh Hashemi said almost a year has passed since the United States withdrew from a landmark multilateral nuclear deal with Iran but during this time, Europeans have been unable to take practical and tangible steps to protect Iranian interests.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Iran Press, Ghazizadeh Hashemi added that Iran nuclear deal which is officially known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) is not merely an independent legal agreement but it was the result of a political agreement between Tehran and the big powers.
"It has been clear for now that Europe is not willing to meet its obligations under the JCPOA and there is no hope that Europeans will undertake practical action to save the deal despite their promises," he added.
The Senior MP and member of the Majlis presiding board then concluded that it is high time Iran did something serious and practical in response to US withdrawal from the JCPOA and Europe's inaction vis-a-vis Washington's undermining of the multilateral agreement. 101/211
