Senior Iranian MP said that the US troops withdrawal from Syria has financial motive.

Iran Press/ Iran: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press on Tuesday, senior Iranian parliamentarian, Hossein Naghavi Hosseini, Member of the Iranian parliament's national security and foreign policy commission, said: "US President Donald Trump's goal from announcing the US troops withdrawal from Syria is the huge expenses of US long time presence in the region."

Hossein Naghavi Hosseini added: "Some political analysts believe that the US want to decrease its interference in the region. But in my view, this idea is wrong. US president Donald Trump is a businessman and every decision of US President has financial motives."

"As you see simultaneously when Trump announced his plan to withdraw US troops from Syria, the troops participated in Persian Gulf war game with maximum power and military equipment," Naghavi Hosseini said.

Naghavi Hosseini added: "Trump's decision to participate in Persian Gulf military drill was an opportunity to sign military deal with regional countries and to sell weapons, ammunition, warships and submarine."

"Trump several time said that the US spent seven Trillion dollars in the region and get nothing. Therefore, staying in the region and spending more money is not beneficial for the US and if the military presence in the region has benefits for Trump, he diffidently decided to keep the US troops in the region", The member of the Iranian parliament's national security and foreign policy commission stated.

Naghavi Hosseini added: "On the other hand, Trump wants the countries in the region pay for US troops presence in the region. He says to counties in the region that if you want we keep our military presence in the region you should pay our expenses."
