The commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) has said that a country will never experience failure wherein the culture of martyrdom becomes well-established.

Iran News: Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari a was addressing the national congress of generals and 1400 martyrs of Falavarjan in central province of Isfahan, where he paid tribute to the martyrs of the Islamic Revolution and to the founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Imam Khomeini (may his soul rest in peace), Iran Press News Agency reported.   

"According to the Leader, the memory of the martyrs should be promoted in our society day in day out, and in this case the issue of martyrdom will remain in our society and in such a society there will be no failure," said Major General Jafari.

The IRGC chief said: "We should be taking lessons from martyrs in this critical period of the Islamic Revolution, and should be learning the ways of resistance and standing up to hardships,and defence of Islam and Islamic values from the martyrs." 206/103
