The CIS Council of Heads of Financial Intelligence Units (CHFIU) was established on December 5, 2012 to coordinate cooperation among FIUs. A list of the Council members includes Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Ukraine.

According to Iranpress on Friday; Iran's Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance Hadi Khani said about the supervisory membership of the Council of Heads of Financial Intelligence Units of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CHFIU): "This membership took place at the twenty-third meeting of this council hosted by Kazakhstan on Khordad17, 1402 (June 7, 2023). "

Khani continued: "In this meeting, representatives from the countries of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Belarus, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, India, the Secretariat and the Executive Committee of the Council of the Commonwealth of Nations, the Coordination Office for Combating Organized Crime and Other Dangerous Crimes In the Commonwealth of Nations, the Eurasian Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Group and several other regional organizations were present."

The Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance of Iran also announced the presentation of several reports of the actions of the Islamic Republic of Iran in combating money laundering and terrorist financing of a Eurasian regional group from the financial institution "FATF" and said: this presentation has been welcomed by member countries and other institutions in the group as observers.
