Tehran (IP) - In the week ending on July 28, 2023, the IME witnessed a trade of 3.3 million tonnes of commodities with a total trading value of over $712 million on its physical market.

Iran Press/ Iran news: The exchange saw the trade of 2,832,907 tonnes of commodities valued at nearly $496 million on its metals and minerals trading floor.

On this floor, the IME sold 1,116,745 tonnes of cement, 1,050,000 tonnes of iron ore, 364,242 tonnes of steel, 288,000 tonnes of sponge iron, 11,120 tonnes of copper, 5,660 tonnes of aluminum, 1,295 tonnes of zinc and 250 tonnes of molybdenum concentrate.

Furthermore, the IME witnessed on both domestic and export rings of its oil and petrochemical trading floor trade 442,679 tonnes of commodities worth more than $207 million. Commodities traded on this floor included 148,000 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 104,508 tonnes of polymeric products,88.689 tons of bitumen,50.000 tons of lube cut,40.740 tons chemicals,5.222 tons oil,3.675 tons sulfur,2.668 tons petroleum products,470 tons feedstocks, and 200 tons insulation.

The IME also traded within the same week a total volume of commodities amounting to 48.578 tonnes in its side market.
