Tehran (IP) - Iran's minister of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), 2 satellites, Hod-Hod and Kosar, built by the private sector, are ready to be launched soon.

Iran PressIran news: Isa Zarepour told Iran Press on Wednesday that for the (Persian) year ahead, the ICT Ministry has made plans to facilitate the presence of the private sector in the space industry of the country.

Zarepour said that the ministry finalized the largest contract in the history of the Iranian space industry for the construction of the Shahid Soleimani system.

According to the latest figures released by the International Telecommunication Union in the field of communication development, Iran elevated from 81 to 75 among 170 countries, which shows a 6-step progress, the ICT minister said.

The latest total Iranian satellite 'Pars 1' was a research-measurement satellite launched by a Russian satellite-carrying rocket Soyuz in late February 2024. 219
