Iranian top General:

Tehran (IP)- A senior Iranian military advisor, in a meeting with the head of the International Committee of the Red Cross office in Iran, stated that the World Red Cross should not be satisfied with merely issuing statements about the genocide in Gaza.

Iran PressIran News: In his address to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), Major General Yahya Rahim Safavi stressed the importance of practical measures in the face of ongoing war crimes in the Gaza Strip.

The top military adviser to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, during the Wednesday meeting with Vincent Cassard, the head of the Data Protection Office, International Committee of the Red Cross, stated, "We have two specific requests from you. Condemn the Zionist regime and the Americans for killing more than 25,000 oppressed people, don't just make a statement."

According to the senior military advisor, the Red Cross should help in establishing a ceasefire and sending humanitarian aid to the very oppressed people of Palestine. "They are even deprived of drinking water and food," the major general added.

Regarding the devastated condition of Gazans, he added that unfortunately, the Zionist regime and some of the neighboring countries of Palestine prevent Iran and other countries from sending aid to the Palestinian people.

"In my opinion, the root cause of the conflicts of the past 20 years in West Asia, specifically in Afghanistan, Iraq, Yemen, and now in Palestine, was the policies of the United States and UK and the crimes of the Zionist regime and its supporters," he reiterated.

Vincent Cassard expressed satisfaction with the meeting, saying, " We are aware of Iran's efforts in helping Afghan immigrants."

In the end, Cassard concluded: "We have allocated a budget in this regard and we consider it one of our priorities with the Iranian Red Crescent."
