Tehran (IP) - A fire broke out on the first floor of Rasoul Akram Hospital in Tehran today, Sunday, July 10.

Iran PressIran News:  Due to the blaze on the first floor, the smoke spread to other parts of the hospital, and the patients were evacuated from the floors. 

The fire broke out in the otolaryngology research department of the hospital, the spokesperson of the country's Emergency Organization, Mojtaba Khaledi, told Iran Press.

Almost all of the patients and their companions evacuated the hospital.  

He reported the dispatch of 10 ambulances to the scene of the incident.

Khaledi added: All medical centers around this hospital are on full alert, and additional news will be announced.

The fire, fortunately, was extinguished.
