Iran Press/ Iran News: Speaking on Thursday at the meeting of the specialized committees of the National Task Force for Fighting Coronavirus, Hassan Rouhani pointed out that from the beginning of the outbreak of COVID-19, the Islamic Republic of Iran put a serious fight against its spread on the agenda according to scientific and international standards.
He said: "All measures taken in this direction, from the development of health and care protocols to the establishment of restrictions in the first round of the Coronavirus spread, both in terms of policy-making and the manner of implementation of these policies and the resulting decisions, have repeatedly been endorsed and praised by specialized international institutions, especially the World Health Organisation".
Appreciating people's trust, support, and cooperation with the government's measures and programs against the outbreak of the Coronavirus, the President added: "The good cooperation and support of the people, especially during the first wave of the Coronavirus outbreak in Iran, was praised by the international community."

Rouhani stated: "The important point obtained as a result of accurate assessments and estimates is that the reason for the resurgence of the Coronavirus in some parts of the country was not economic and social activities, but the lack of accurate and complete observance of health protocols and holding gatherings such as weddings, funerals, and mourning ceremonies".
Referring to the beginning of the second wave of Coronavirus outbreak in many countries around the world, the President stated, "The National Task Force for Fighting Coronavirus designed two macro policies to combat the second wave of Coronavirus outbreak in our country, based on which using masks indoors and in public and high-risk areas was implemented".
The president added: "After a week or two, the assessments indicate a declining trend of the spread in many provinces throughout the country, which is the result of the wider implementation of protocols and the use of more masks and physical distancing."
Emphasizing the need to change the lifestyle to prevent the recurrence of the new stage of Coronavirus, Rouhani said: "The treatment committee of the National Task Force for Fighting Coronavirus should inform each province about the extent of heeding the protocols and using masks to help transform people's lifestyle".
The President also emphasizing the special importance of the mourning ceremony of Imam Hussein (AS) and its great spiritual benefits for the society, which cannot be ignored, saying that proper health protocols should be implemented. 207/215
