Iran Press/Iran news: World Health Organization (WHO) representative to Iran Christoph Hamelmann in answering Iran Press correspondent said: "In order to help Iran to contain Covid 19 Medical equipment and measurements, WHO has provided all essential needs in this regard.
"The Important thing at the moment is test kits, and also providing Iranian laboratories to be equipped for testing not only in Tehran but all across Iran," he said.
"The second important one safety equipment for medical and health staff due to their position on the frontline of fighting this virus so they need to be protected to deal with the patients efficiently." WHO official added.
He also said that masks and disinfection equipment are among those provided by the World Health Organization and is carried to Iran by the regional office of this International organization.
In response to question about the aim of this trip to Tehran, Hamelmann said "the aim of this trip to Tehran is carrying out the WHO's mission, "it is a mission like we did in China it is the mission of support and cooperation with Iran's Health Ministry, in order to collaborate strongly on the issue of Coronavirus."
He went on to say that the mission includes personnel from the regional office of WHO carrying all needed equipment to help the containing of this outbreak.
