Tehran (IP) - Acting Director of WHO’s Regional Emergency Office for the Eastern Mediterranean Richard Brennan referred to international cooperation, information sharing and other ways of cooperation as vital tools to contain the global outbreak of coronavirus.

Iran Press/Iran news: "This a global problem. There are over 60 countries now affected by Covid-19 and international cooperation is vital to control this high-risk outbreak", Brennan said in an interview with Iran Press.

He underscored, " The World Health Organization (WHO) is working from our Geneva Headquarter and also in our regional office in Cairo in the Middle East to bring all the stakeholders together including health workers, governments research institutions, the United Nations, NGOs, all the private sectors to work together under a single plan. We have developed the strategic preparedness or responsive plan at the global level".

"We see that all these different parts have a role to play because no agency and no government alone can control this outbreak, and partnership, collaboration and sharing information are all vital tools to end this outbreak", WHO’ official stated.
