The Chairman of the Iranian Elections Headquarters stressed that the interior ministery as the executor of different phases of the election is bound to implement the law during the election registration.

Iran Press/Iran news: Jamal Orf's, chairman of the Iranian Elections Headquarter for the parliamentary election said in his press conference at the interior ministry on Sunday morning that the ministery as the executor of the election process, is obliged to laws in the entire process.

Responding to the IP correspondent about registration and election process, he stressed that "Naturally, we as the organizers of the election Codes are here to implement the rules and regulations precisely, paving the way for people to choose their best possible candidate for the 11th parliament".

"We are now at the beginning of the process and the interior ministry has the mandate to implement the laws and, overseeing and monitoring of the process is duty of the honorable Guardian Council; together, we try to provide necessary situation for the eligible people to participate in the election process, and qualified candidates will contest these elections," he said.

The 11th round of parliamentary elections in Iran was slated for Feb. 21, 2020, four years after the previous one in 2016.

The enrolment process started as of December 1 and ended on December 7. 212/ 205
