Beijing sends Tehran 30 tons medical cargo to fight COVID-19

Beijing municipality has sent Tehran 30 tons of medical items to fight COVID-19 disease.

Iran Press/Asia: Beijing’s Mayor Chen Jining sent a letter to Tehran's Mayor Pirouz Hanachi and called for bilateral cooperation in different areas, particularly in fighting against coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

Tehran’s Mayor also responded to the letter, appreciating Beijing’s humanitarian move and stressing bilateral cooperation in crisis times.

Already 13 air cargoes have been sent to Tehran and Iranian people from the Chinese nation and government to fight the coronavirus, with other aid to come.

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Seyyed Abbas Mousavi earlier announced that in addition to aid from China, Turkey, Germany, France, and Britain, cash and medical supplies were received from Japan, Qatar, the Republic of Azerbaijan and Russia.
