Russia (IP) - 'Iranian Patterns in Russian Sculptors' Works' exhibition was opened on Friday at the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy.

Iran PressEurope: The exhibition in which 80 works from Russian artists were displayed was set up with the efforts of the cultural office of the Iranian embassy in Moscow, the Artists Trade Union of Russia, Moscow's sculptor's assembly, and the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy.

Iran's Cultural Attache Masoud Ahmadvand said in the opening ceremony of the expo that the event on the occasion of the beginning f the Persian new year brings a  new chapter of cultural ties development to Iran-Moscow relations. 

The Head of the orientalist studies institute Aliakbar Aliakbarov expressed satisfaction over the opening of the exhibition and stressed the revival of old and strong ties between Russia and oriental art and culture. 

The exhibition will be underway until April 20.
