Tehran (IP)- Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian met with Sheikh Mohammad bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Qatar, in Tehran evening of Sunday.

Iran PressIran news: In the meeting, the two sides discussed the development of trade cooperation in public and private fields.

Iran's foreign minister noted: We welcomed Qatar's point of view to promote regional dialogues. It can play a very effective role in quickly resolving some misunderstandings, tensions, and regional problems.

Amir-Abdollahian also added: "I thank Qatar for its efforts to bring the talks to a conclusion to lift the sanctions. Qatar always tries to return the parties involved in the nuclear talks to their commitments."

He added: Today we received messages from the JCPOA parties through Qatar's foreign minister.

American and European intervention in Iran's internal affairs, Afghanistan and girls' education, and also the formation of an inclusive government in Afghanistan, Islamophobia, the killing of Palestinians by Israel, and the war in Ukraine were other issues discussed between the two foreign ministers.

Amir- Abdollahian announced the holding of the first round of talks between Iran and Ukraine last month in Oman, at the same time he announced Tehran's readiness to hold the second round of talks.
