Tehran (IP)- Within the week ending on December 9, 2022, the IME witnessed a trade of 3,038,357 tonnes of commodities with a total trading value of nearly 728 million USD, logging growths of 31% and 33% in volume and value of trades compared with the week before that.

Iran PressIran news: According to a report by the IME's International Affairs and PR, the exchange saw on its metals and minerals trading floor trade of 2,753,947 tonnes of commodities worth more than 551 million USD.

On this floor, the IME sold 1,125,905 tonnes of cement, 845,000 tonnes of iron ore, 664,938 tonnes of steel, 66,000 tonnes of sponge iron, 36,700 tonnes of zinc, 9,200 tonnes of aluminum, 6,579 tonnes of copper, 200 tonnes of molybdenum concentrate, 100 kg of gold bars and 40 vehicles.

Furthermore, the IME saw on both domestic and export pits of its oil and petrochemical trading floor 281,422 tonnes of commodities worth more than 174 million USD.

Commodities traded on this floor included 92,681 tonnes of polymeric products, 78,000 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 8,500 tonnes of lube cut, 37,297 tonnes of chemicals, 15,520 tonnes of sulfur, 5,311 tonnes of base oil and 42,872 tonnes of bitumen.

The IME also traded within the same week 2,989 tonnes of commodities on its side market.
