Tehran (IP)- Within the week ending on November 11, 2022, the IME witnessed a trade of 2,032,025 tonnes of commodities with a total trading value of nearly 685 million USD, logging growths of 18% and 43% in volume and value of trades compared with the week before that.

Iran PressIran News: According to a report by the IME's International Affairs and PR, the exchange saw on its metals and minerals trading floor trade of 2,432,000 tonnes of commodities worth almost 443 million USD.

On this floor, the IME sold 1,149,583 tonnes of cement, 106,000 tonnes of iron ore, 623,450 tonnes of steel, 74,000 tonnes of sponge iron, 19,500 tonnes of zinc, 8,325 tonnes of aluminum, 9,000 tonnes of copper, 200 tonnes of molybdenum concentrate and 65 kg of gold bars.

Furthermore, the IME saw on both domestic and export pits of its oil and petrochemical trading floor 415,483 tonnes of commodities worth almost 232 million USD.

Commodities traded on this floor included 92,973 tonnes of polymeric products, 108,000 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 43,000 tonnes of lube cut, 34,764 tonnes of chemicals, 2,450 tonnes of sulfur, 4,665 tonnes of base oil, 400 tonnes of insulation, 100 tonnes of argon and 130,180 tonnes of bitumen. The IME also traded within the same week 12,146 tonnes of commodities on its side market.
