Tehran(IP)- Iraqi Prime Minister said in a joint press conference with the Iranian president on Tuesday that he will not allow Iraqi soil to be used against other countries

According to Iran press, the Prime Minister of Iraq, Mohammad Al-Shi'a al-Sudani, attended a press conference at the historical-cultural complex of Saad Abad to hold bilateral talks with the President of Iran.

During the event,  the Prime Minister of Iraq stated: Security cooperation was discussed in this meeting. The security of two countries is one{phenomenon) and complementary to each other and inseparable and part of the security of the region.

Al-Sudani emphasized: The Iraqi government is committed to implementing the constitution and does not allow Iraqi soil to be used to harm any party. The policy of the Iraqi government is that this country should not be the starting point for harming the countries of the region."

 

The Prime Minister of Iraq continued: The Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iraq is present on this trip and will meet with his counterpart to reach a working mechanism and field cooperation in order to prevent and avoid any tension.

He emphasized: "From Iraq's point of view, dialogue and interaction is the best way to prevent these problems. We emphasize the commitment of the government of the Republic of Iraq to cooperate and coordinate with the Islamic Republic of Iran in all common fields."

Iran's position in supporting Iraq in exporting electricity. We appreciate and demand the continuation of this export until the completion of Iraq's projects in electricity and gas production.

 

The Prime Minister of Iraq also emphasized: "Iraq is trying to pay Iran's demands with special mechanisms, and today we will have negotiations in this field."

Al-Sudani continued: During this trip, there will be discussions between the oil ministers of the two countries regarding the transfer of crude oil and its settlement in the refinery, and projects related to crude oil and its derivatives will be discussed during this trip and subsequent trips between the two countries.

Stating that economic issues have an important impact on the security of the region, he said: Today, we agreed to activate the economic committee meetings of the two countries.
