Istanbul (IP) - Iran's Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance traveled to Istanbul on Friday to participate in the 12th Conference of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Information Ministers.

Iran PressIran news: The 12th Conference of the Information Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) with the main theme of "condemning false information and Islamophobia" and with the presence of Iran's Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Mohammad-Mahdi Esmaeili, will be officially opened (on Saturday) in Istanbul, Türkiye.

Iran's Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, during his trip to Türkiye, met and exchanged views with the head of the OIC Youth Assembly, the spokesman of the Türkiye Presidential Palace Fakhreddin Altin, the conference president, and other Turkish cultural officials from several cultural centers of this country, including the museum. He visited Topkapi, Hagia Sophia Mosque, Sultan Ahmed Mosque and the city of Istanbul.

Esmaeili will also have bilateral meetings with the ministers of culture and information of some countries participating in the cultural summit.

The speech at the main assembly of the 12th meeting of the Information Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation will be one of the other plans of the Iranian Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance during his trip to Türkiye.

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) is the second intergovernmental organization after the United Nations, which is spread over four continents with 57 member countries.

This organization is the collective voice of the Islamic world and serves as a guarantee to protect and support the interests of the Islamic world in the spirit of promoting international peace and harmony among different people of the world.
