Tehran (IP) - The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran has called for immediate action by countries and international organizations, especially the Organization of Islamic Cooperation(OIC) to confront the aggression and crimes of the Israeli regime.

Iran Press/Iran News: During an online webinar to mark the International Quds Day with the participation of senior scholars and some Palestinian resistance officials on Thursday night, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, strongly condemned the recent crimes of the Israeli regime in occupied Palestine and Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Amir-Abdollahian called on countries and international organizations, especially the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), to take immediate action to confront the crimes of the occupying Zionist regime.

Referring to the naming of the International Quds Day by the late Founder of the Iran's Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini, the head of the diplomatic apparatus commemorated Imad Mughniyeh, Sheikh Ahmad Yassin, Fathi Shaqaqi and Abbas Al-Musawi, and the martyrs General Qasem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis.

Referring to the failure of the Deal of the Century, Amir-Abdollahian noted: "The Israeli regime seeks to compensate for this failure in normalizing its relations with some countries."

The top diplomat referred to the political and democratic plan proposed by the Islamic Republic of Iran to resolve the Palestinian issue registered in the UN Secretariat based on the end of the occupation and holding a referendum in the presence of the main inhabitants of Palestine and all refugees.

He noted that according to this plan, Muslims, Jews and Christians of Palestinian origin will be able to choose the type of legal system governing their destiny through a referendum.

Moreover, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei's proposal for resolving the Palestinian issue has four stages: "Return of Palestinian refugees to their ancestral homeland; Holding elections with the participation of the main Palestinian people; including Muslim, Christian and Jewish people; Formation of a majority-elected political system based on a referendum. Decisions by the majority-elected political system for other residents of occupied Palestine who are not considered the main people."

Amir-Abdollahian also said that the Israeli regime is currently in its weakest days and that the resistance is at its best today.

He added: "The Islamic Republic of Iran will continue to support the Palestinian people until the Palestinian government is established in the mainland of Palestine with Holy Quds as its capital."
