Nur-sultan(IP)- The 7th World Congress of Leaders of Religions and Traditional Religions wrapped up in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan, by issuing a final statement.

Iran PressAsia: According to the correspondent of Iran Press News Agency from Kazakhstan, the 7th World Congress of Leaders of Religions and Traditional Religions, which was held in the city of Nur_sultan, Kazakhstan, with the presence of 130 religious, political and cultural delegations from 60 countries, ended its work on Friday.

Pope Francis, the leader of Catholics in the world, in the final speech of the World Congress of Religions, and Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the President of Kazakhstan, in the last statement of this international congress, once again said that the only way to reduce terrorism and extremism is the convergence and peaceful coexistence of religions and the role of religious leaders to restore peace and security in the world.

Also, Mahdi Imanipour, head of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization of Iran, met and talked with the deputy archbishop of the Orthodox Christians of Russia on the sidelines of the World Congress of Religions.

Metropolitan Antony Volokolamsk, deputy archbishop of Russia, said in an interview with Iran Press after this meeting: "Iran and Russia have regular dialogues in the field of religions, and several meetings of the series of dialogues between Islam and Orthodox Christianity have been held so far."

 

Imanipour also discussed with the Minister of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Dauren Abayev, the ways to strengthen cultural cooperation and the implementation of the cultural agreement between the two countries.

 

 

Dauren Abayev, the Minister of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, after meeting and talking with the Iranian delegation, said: "Due to the deep similarities between Iran and Kazakhstan, fortunately, the cultural relations between the two countries are at a high level."

The Minister of Culture and Sports of Kazakhstan pointed to the signing of a cultural agreement with Iran and added: "With the implementation of the cultural agreement between the two countries, cultural relations will expand even more than ever before."
