Iran Press/ Iran news: In the new round of negotiations in Vienna, centered on the lifting of sanctions against Iran, which was held on August 4-8, 2022, several proposals were made by "Enrique Mora," the European Union's deputy secretary general for political affairs who acts as coordinator in the talks in Vienna.
Iran's foreign minister, in a telephone conversation with his Nigerian counterpart, emphasized Tehran's will to reach a strong and stable agreement and stated that the "Vienna agreement would be achievable if the American side is realistic.
"Conclusion of an agreement is possible upon the American side's application of realism," Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said during a telephone conversation with his Nigerian counterpart Geoffrey Onyeama on Wednesday.

The Iranian foreign minister also expressed hope that the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) will resort to performing its technical duty concerning the Islamic Republic and avoid adopting a politically-charged approach toward the country.
Meanwhile, the two foreign ministers addressed the latest status of Tehran and Abuja's bilateral ties and various international developments.
Amir-Abdollahian considered the half-a-century-long history of the countries' relations to be a "great and strong asset" that could be used to expand their political, economic, and cultural ties based on their "common interests."
Onyeama, for his part, emphasized the "goodwill" that Iran had displayed throughout the negotiations, hoping that the US would resume complying with the agreement.
He also identified the historical ties and the amicable relations that the two countries have had as a proper basis for further development of the mutual relations.
On August 15, the Islamic Republic of Iran presented its written response to the draft proposed by Europe, in which the path to resuming the full implementation of the JCPOA was explained, and announced that if the American answer is realistic and flexible, an agreement will be reached.
On August 24, the United States presented its opinion to the European Union.
On September 2, the spokesman of Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nasser Kanaani, announced the submission of the Islamic Republic's comments on the US response to the text of the draft agreement on the possible lifting of sanctions and said that the text sent has a constructive approach with the aim of finalizing the negotiations.
Hours after sending Iran's response to Enrique Mora, Vedant Patel, the Principal Deputy Spokesperson for the US Department of State., tried to throw the ball in Iran's court, claiming that Tehran's response was not constructive.
