Tehran (IP) - In the meeting with the UNESCO news director of the regional office, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran called the relationship between the two sides close in areas such as the registration of cultural heritage.

Iran PressIran news: Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, in a meeting with Ms. Golda El-Khoury, director of UNESCO's regional office in Tehran, considered the capabilities of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the fields of education, higher education, and technology, especially in the area of Iranian women, to be exemplary.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran also pointed to the 2030 document and added that this document was supposed to cause global solidarity in the field of education, but ignoring the identity and cultural realities of the countries, has caused them problems in this field and, therefore the Islamic Republic of Iran the basis of its internal and cultural laws looks at this document.

Ms. Golda El-Khoury, who met with Amir- Abdollahian at the beginning of her mission as the director of the UNESCO regional office, described her plans for the office and promised to use her maximum efforts to improve the position of this regional office.

It should be noted that the regional office of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in Iran coordinates the activities of UNESCO in the countries of Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Turkmenistan.
