Khuzestan (IP) - Iran's President entered Khuzestan province, southwest of the country, to open Ghadir Water Project in the province.

Iran PressIran News: Implementing the Ghadir project will remove the problem of providing 26 towns and 1600 villages in the province with healthy drinking water.

The implementation of this important plan was started in 2007, but until last year, it had progressed less than 50%. During the president's first visit to the province in the first days of the establishment of the government, to benefit from quality water, the provision of necessary credits was put on the agenda, and it was implemented with the efforts of Iranian engineers and workers.

This huge project also will provide drinking water to nearly 4.7 million people of Khuzestan province.

One of the significant achievements of this enormous project will be the expansion of justice in all parts of Khuzestan province, social stability, and infrastructural development of the country.
