Syria (IP) – Turkish-backed forces shelled areas in Syria's Raqqa with heavy artillery, leaving massive damage.

Iran PressMiddle East: Turkish-backed forces once again bombarded the safe areas in Tell Abyad and Ain Issa in the northern Rif of Raqqa, Syria.

Local sources told SANA that the attacks significantly damaged some Syrian houses and infrastructures.

The report added that Turkiye and its mercenaries have recently intensified their attacks on the Syrian areas, forcing residents to leave their houses so that the terrorists can dominate their homes and crops.

Turkiye has deployed its troops in some areas of northern Iraq and Syria and is orchestrating aerial attacks on parts of the regions of the north of these countries under the pretext of fighting PKK terror elements. Turkiye's action has been met with strong reactions from Baghdad and Damascus.

On Aug. 16th, a number of civilians were martyred, and others were injured in an artillery shelling attack launched by the Turkish occupation forces on residential areas in the villages of al-Mu’allaq and Saida and in the vicinity of the M4 international highway and the western countryside of Tal Abyad, north of Raqqa.
