Iran Press/ Iran news: In today's press conference, Massoud Satayshi said: "The government and the judiciary are carrying out follow-ups in the international arena; the Swedish government and judicial system should not be influenced by the MKO propaganda campaign and baseless claims.
An Iranian diplomat, Asadollah Asadi, who serves as the third counselor at Iran's Embassy in Vienna, was detained in Germany, and a Belgian court sentenced him to 20 years in prison after accusing him of plotting an alleged attack against the anti-Iran terrorist Mujahedin-e-Khalq (MKO), Satayshi said.
"The Islamic Republic of Iran has officially communicated its protest to Germany and Belgium over the issue in question, repeatedly rejecting the accusations that have been leveled against the diplomat and insisting that he should be "immediately released," he added.

The Judiciary Spokesman rejected any news about the arrest, detention, or extradition of fugitive Iranian banker Mahmoud Reza Khavari, stressing that Iran expressed its protest about Canada's either lack of cooperation for his extradition or taking no "measures to return the fugitive convict to Iran since he is a Canadian citizen."
The Islamic Republic of Iran has asked Canada to extradite Khavari to Iran to be brought to justice for his embezzlement.
