Iraq (IP) – News sources reported Tuesday that Turkish warplanes once again bombarded areas in the northern Iraqi province of Duhok, located in the Kurdistan region.

There was no immediate news on the details.

Turkey's attacks on northern Iraq continue while the UN Security Council issued a statement last night saying, "The members of the Security Council condemned in the strongest terms the attack in Duhok Province of Iraq on July 20, 2022. The attack resulted in at least nine civilian deaths, including children."

In a shelling of a resort area in Parkh district in Duhok Province, for which the Iraqi government blamed Turkey, as many as nine tourists from southern and central Iraqi provinces were killed and 23 others were wounded.
