Iraq (IP) – Iraqi Kurdish officials announced that five rockets landed at the Khor Mor gas field in the Sulaimaniya region of northern Iraq on Monday; there were no immediate reports of damage or casualties.

Iran PressMiddle East: The rocket attack targeted the Khor Mor gas field run by the UAE's Dana Gas on Monday evening in the Iraqi Kurdistan Region's district of Chamchamal, Sulaimaniyah.

It was one of several attacks on the area in recent weeks, none of which have been claimed by any group.

The gas field was also targeted three times within a week in June.

Meanwhile, a rocket attack targeted a military base housing Turkish troops in northern Iraq on Monday, days after a fatal shelling blamed on Turkey hit a village in the Arab country’s semi-autonomous Kurdistan region.

On July 20, Turkey carried out a strike against the Iraqi hill village of Parakh in the Zakho district in Dohuk province, killing at least nine tourists, including children and women, and wounding more than 20 others.
