Why it matters:
On the evening of Sunday, August 10, Israel attacked journalists in Gaza, killing a number of them, including al-Sharif, who was a journalist for Al Jazeera.
The Zionist regime's action has been met with strong international condemnation.
The big picture:
Al Jazeera journalist Anas al-Sharif, 28, was killed along with three of his colleagues in a deliberate Israeli attack on a media tent sheltering journalists outside the main gate of Gaza City's al-Shifa Hospital. Israel has murdered 269 reporters since October 2023.
What we're saying:
The Hind Rajab Foundation: "The list of those responsible for the murder of Anas al-Sharif includes the commanders of Unit 8200, Palmachim Air Base, and Avichay Idris."
"We have filed a complaint with the International Criminal Court against the killers of Anas al-Sharif and his associates."
Zoom in:
Hind Rajab was a six-year-old girl who was killed during an Israeli military attack in Gaza on January 29, 2024. A foundation named after her has been established in Brussels, whose function is to collect and analyze digital evidence and cases against Israeli forces on charges of war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide.
