Iran Press/ Iran news: Nicolas Maduro, the President of Venezuela, arrived in Iran on Friday at the head of a high-ranking delegation, and on Saturday morning, he was officially welcomed by Iran's president at the Saadabad Cultural-Historical Complex.
The Presidents of Iran and Venezuela signed a comprehensive 20-year strategic cooperation document between the two countries on Saturday in the Saadabad Cultural-Historical Complex.
Amir-Abdollahian, in meeting with Venezuelan Foreign Minister Carlos Faria on Saturday in Tehran, said, "Now the relations between the two countries are in the best condition and with the signing of the comprehensive roadmap of cooperation between the two countries, the path of deepening the cooperation will be broadened more than before."
Iranian FM expressed hope that the ground for implementing the 20-year document will be provided by increasing contacts, cooperation, and exchanges of visits in the future.
Venezuelan Foreign Minister Carlos Faria, for his part, stressed that there is an excellent opportunity to enter a new round of cooperation between the two countries and said, "We are closely witnessing Iran's progress in the fields of knowledge-based economy and industry amid sanctions."
