In an interview with Iran Press News Agency, Talha Umar Saeed Ghani, a Director, School Services in the state Ministry of Education Bauchi, said, "Imam Khomeini made people understand that a religious leader is not only confined in the religious, thinking of being a moral instructor alone. But he was made to come out and see that he could also participate in the politics, of the world. That was the exactly the first change Imam Khomeini was able to bring."

According to Ghani, When Imam Khomeini turned about the freedom and respect for the rights of the people, he said after the downfall of the Pahlavi regime, Imam Khomeini did not force Iranians to accept the Islamic System of government; he instead asked people to choose the system of government they wanted by casting their votes in the referendum for all Iranians to participate and show their willingness to accept whatever they choose.

And finally, they had chosen the Islamic System of government. So, that was the beginning of Human Rights, the beginning of freedom.
