Kabul (IP) – A member of the Taliban government in Afghanistan believes that the most important indicator of Imam Khomeini's movement was political, cultural and even economic independence, and that is why after the victory of the Islamic Revolution, Iran faced US sanctions.

Iran PressAsia: In an interview with Iran Press, the Deputy Minister of Economy of the Taliban government, Latif Nazari, spoke about the continuation of Imam Khomeini's ideas, saying: "Four decades after the victory of Iran's Islamic Revolution, the pressure and sanctions on Iran still continue because the arrogant powers never want the Islamic countries to be independent and achieve progress and development."

Imam Khomeini, the Founder of Iran's Islamic Revolution, emphasized anti-arrogance, put independence at the center of his policies and ideas, and emphasized this until the time when he passed away; the independent spirit of Imam Khomeini has become a role model for the freedom seekers of the world and Muslim nations.

Nazari said every country with a revolution, like Afghanistan, is moving towards independence and self-sufficiency, is facing sanctions and pressure from the dominating powers, and now Afghanistan is facing the same situation.

He said after the US and NATO failed in Afghanistan and the new government came to power, Afghanistan faced sanctions and its money was blocked.

Latif Nazari stated that the arrogant powers always boycott the freedom-loving nations that want to control their political, cultural, economic and social destiny, pointing out that this action of the hegemons is due to the anti-arrogance spirit of the freedom-loving nations.

He said that the discourse of anti-arrogance and anti-colonialism was not limited to Iran and spread to other parts of the Islamic world, and this has angered the hegemonic and colonial countries.
