Tehran (IP) - The Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran on Thursday, on the eve of World Quds Day, called the issue of Palestine and Al-Quds as deeply rooted issue in Islamic Iran.

Iran PressIran news: The Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, on Thursday, on the eve of World Quds Day, during a meeting with Khalil al-Hayya, a senior member of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in Tehran, stressing that the blood of martyrs guarantee victory said: "The issue of Palestine and Al-Quds is deeply rooted in Islamic Iran."

Qalibaf stated: "Imam Khomeini (RA) considered Quds as an inseparable part of Islam and the issue of Palestine as the first issue of the Islamic world and cleverly determined the last Friday of Ramadan as the International Day of Quds so that the issue of Quds and Palestine among all Muslims in the world as well as all freedom seekers would survive."

The Speaker of the Iranian Legislature also referred to the actions taken by the Israeli regime and the global arrogance to normalize relations with this regime by some governments in the region, and said: "The Muslim Ummah, the resistance groups and the Islamic world must increase the cost of normalizing relations with the Zionist regime, and the unity of the Palestinian groups is certainly very effective in success and victory."

The senior Hamas member also said: "The Zionists are trying to evacuate Al-Aqsa Mosque from the main residents and replace the Zionist occupiers and increase their presence in Quds, but with the help of the people and defenders of the shrine and resistance groups, Quds and Al-Aqsa Mosque will remain  as a  as symbol and the axis of resistance."

Recalling the bravery of Lt. General Qassem Soleimani, the former commander of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps in the fight against the occupying Zionists, Khalil al-Hayya stated: "As a result of this courage, the situation of the resistance groups has improved, and as the occupying regime in Al-Quds tries to normalize relations, the Palestinian people and the axis of resistance have become stronger and more united."

The high-ranking delegation of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) arrived in Tehran on Wednesday to meet with high-ranking officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Tomorrow, Friday, April 29, 2022 (Ordibehesht 9, 1401) coincides with the 27th of Ramadan, 1443, the International Quds Day.
