Tehran (IP) - The Third International Conference of the Palestinian Intifada was held in person and via video conference in Tehran, with the participation of women experts, activists, and representatives of NGOs.

Iran PressIran news: According to Iran Press; In the meeting, Laleh Eftekhari, the head of the Quds Women's Committee said: "Six months after the victory of the Islamic Revolution (1979), Imam Khomeini named the last Friday of Ramadan 'International Quds Day' and called on all people of the world to support the rights of the Palestinian people, and this shows the importance of Quds."

She pointed out that Quds Day is not only the day of Palestine but also the day of Islam and the Prophet Mohammad.

Hoda al-Mousavi, the sister of the martyred Abbas Mousavi, the former secretary-general of Hezbollah in Lebanon, was the next speaker, saying: "We are in an age of cultural assault and young people must be vigilant in defending their Islamic identity."

al-Mousavi added: "Given the Israeli-Western cultural assault, the role of the youth is very important because Islam is developing and the Westerners are so scared of."

She stressed that for the liberation of Quds, we must all work together hand in hand to make it happen sooner.

Fatemeh-Batool Soyuz from Turkey also referred to the history of the presence of women in the conference and said that Palestinian women had got military training to liberate and defend their occupied territories. "Women have always fought alongside men for the liberation of Al-Quds," Soyuz said.

Participants in the conference also called for an intensification of the Palestinian Intifada.
