Iran Press/ Middle East: Ali Nikzad, who traveled to Syria to meet with high-ranking officials, arrived at Damascus Airport today and welcomed the Deputy Speaker of the Syrian People's Assembly, Mr. Muhammad Akram al-Ajlani, and the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Damascus, Mehdi Sobhani.
Today, Nikzar met with Syrian Foreign and Expatriates Minister Dr. Fayssal Mikdad to discuss bilateral relations.
In a press statement following his meeting with Mikdad, Nikzad expressed Iran's continued support for Syria, asserting that his country will stand by Syria to rebuild what has been destroyed by the terrorists.
"We will help Syria, which strongly stood in the face of the enemies," he said.
