Tehran (IP) - Iran's Health Ministry announced on Monday that 223 death cases due to COVID-19 had been registered during the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 135,499.

Iran PressIran news: According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to February 22, 2022, 6,983,635 people in the country have contracted COVID-19, and 6,539,783 of the infected people recovered. Newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 were 22,073 cases, of whom 2,399 patients were hospitalized.

3,918 COVID-19 patients are in intensive care units (ICU). So far, 46,780,865 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted across Iran. According to the latest analysis, 337 cities are red, 64 are orange, and 47 are zones. So far, 62,362,851 people have received the first dose of the COVID vaccine, 55,214,782 have received the second dose, 22,490,043 have received the third dose, and the total number of vaccines injected in the country reached 140,067,676 doses.
