FM's visit to India postponed due to COVID-19

Tehran (IP) - The spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry said that the Iranian foreign minister's visit to India was postponed due to the fact that the Indian FM has contracted COVID-19.

Iran PressIran news: According to Iran press, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh said that the visit of the Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian to India had been postponed for, the Indian Minister of Foreign affairs have developed COVID-19, adding that the visit was still on the agenda.

Indian Foreign Minister Subramaniam Jaishankar announced today (Friday) that he has contracted coronavirus.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, was scheduled to travel to India and then Sri Lanka next week, but this trip was postponed deu to illness of his Indian counterpart.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Amir- Abdollahian, announced on Monday night on the sidelines of the National Conference on Iran and Neighbors at the Center for Political and International Studies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran that he was scheduled to travel to India and Sri Lanka next week.
