Tehran (IP) - Chairman of the Ad Hoc Committee for the Surge in Production in Iran's parliament, met with the Indian Ambassador in Tehran and stressed developing and strengthening Tehran-Delhi cooperation.

Iran PressIran News: "Relations between the two countries have always been growing, but more measures should be taken to further develop and strengthen cooperation," Shamseddin Hosseini said in the meeting with the Indian Ambassador to Tehran Gaddam Dharmendra Wednesday.

The committee chairman, expressing dissatisfaction with the decrease in the volume of economic and trade exchanges between Iran and India, added: "In recent years, the economic exchanges between the two countries have decreased for various reasons, including US oppressive and inhumane sanctions."

The Indian ambassador in Tehran also said: "India and Iran are two important countries in Asia, and the cooperation between the two countries is getting better every year."

Noting that his country intends to cooperate with Iran in technology and plant protection, Gadam Darmandra added: "India seeks to strengthen its relations and develop cooperation with Iran in various fields, including culture, and welcomes collaboration in political, economic, and agricultural areas."
