Moscow (IP) – The Iranian Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance says Russia has always been a major and important partner for the Islamic Republic of Iran, and President Raisi's trip to Moscow, would be a turning point in Iran-Russia relations.

Iran PressEurope: In an interview with Iran Press in Moscow, Ehsan Khandouzi stated that expanding cooperation with Russia in the new Iranian administration is has special attention.

Khandouzi expressed hope that the Iranian president's visit to Moscow would be a turning point in Iran-Russia relations compared to the past.

He noted that during the visit, various economic issues, including joint ventures, customs facilitation, banking issues, and the transfer of currency between two countries' state banks, would be followed up and finalized with the Russian minister of economy.

The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ebrahim Raisi, travels to Moscow on Wednesday at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin and will be accompanied by the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Oil, and Economic Affairs and Finance.
