Commentary (IP) - These days the Europeans are celebrating the New Year holidays in peace while they owe the happiness to an anti-terrorism hero assassinated by the US.

Iran PressCommentary: The New Year 2022 holidays in the West of the world have coincided with the martyrdom of Lt. Gen. Qasem Soleimani who was assassinated by the American Army drone in Baghdad.

Since the self-proclaimed Deash (ISIS) terrorist group invasion of Iraq and Syria, West of Asia, got started in 2014, commander Soleimani mobilized the popular and army forces of the countries to stand against the Wahhabi terrorists.

In 2014, when ISIS invaded Islamic countries, especially Iraq and Syria, and its scope was extending to Europe, General Soleimani, formed a front consisting of popular and army forces of the invaded countries to stand against the notorious terrorist group.

Meanwhile, ISIS had promulgated the establishment of its self-proclaimed ruling and was recruiting Mujahedeens from around the world especially from Belgium, the UK, and France.

European nationals' joining ISIS alongside others, raised the concerns of Europe that on those days was grappling with a number of problems, including the Greek financial crisis, immigration, and Brexit.

And now, the return of the nationals had doubled the European Union's fear.

Of course, the United States, which, as always, played the role of Superman, suddenly appeared and dropped its bombs on the people of Syria and Iraq, under the pretext that it led an international coalition to defeat ISIS.

But like Hollywood, the very Superman was just a mask.

According to Chomsky and Herman's theory of media filters, after the collapse of communism and the Soviet Union, the West, led by the United States, found a new enemy who was gaining power especially with the victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran;

The new enemy was Islam that had to be fought within the West's policies, including in Europe's.

"Let's remember here, the people we are fighting today, we funded 20 years ago. And we did it because we were locked in the struggle with the Soviet Union. They invaded Afghanistan and we did not want to see them control Central Asia. And we went to work."

It was part of the US former Secretary of State Hilary Clinton's speeches acknowledging that ISIS was an offspring of the US:

"And it was President Reagan in partnership with the Congress, led by Democrats who said: "You know what? Sounds like a pretty good idea. Let's deal with the ISI and the Pakistani military and let's go recruit these Mujahideen. And that's great. Let's get some to come from Saudi Arabia and other places importing their Wahhabi brand of Islam so that we can go beat the Soviet Union. And guess what? They retreated. They lost billions of dollars and it led to the collapse of the Soviet Union. So there is a very strong argument which is it wasn't a bad investment to end the Soviet Union, but let's be careful what we sow because we will harvest."

Announcing its existence, ISIS began to implement the fatwas of Wahhabi sheiks, brainwashing the youth and even children, in order to establish and expand its self-proclaimed rule, so reaching everywhere intimidated people through for example beheading them. This way US-born ISIS helped its parent in escalating Islamophobia.

The defeats the Resistance Front led by Iran's commander Soleimani inflicted on ISIS were, of course, to the detriment of the US and its European allies, which were highly costly to them.

Gen. Soleimani's approaches contributed to victory of Resistance Axis.

On the one hand, Europe and US "spent seven trillion dollars" in Western Asia but had to come to the region secretly at night, and on the other hand, they failed to overthrow the government of Bashar al-Assad, which was in their favor.

Therefore, the US thought that it should do something to prevent the death of its own offspring, ISIS, who was dying now.

Lt. Gen. Soleimani, the former commander of the Quds Force of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) martyred outside Baghdad International Airport on January 3, 2020, at 1:30 AM, on the direct order of then-US President Donald Trump.

General Soleimani was assassinated by the US while he was in Baghdad on the formal invitation of the Iraqi government. Now Europe is left with its ISIS soldiers who seem to want to return to their homeland.

New Year 2022 has arrived. The Europeans are spending happy days, decorating pine trees, celebrating, eating, drinking, and dancing.

But do they know there is no Haj Qasem Sleimani?!!!
