Iran Press/ Iran News: In its recent tweet posted to commemorate the second martyrdom anniversary of Martyr Lt Gen Qassem Soleimani, Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said: "Assassination of Iranian General Qassem Soleimani by direct order of the president of the United States, is a clear example of state terrorism."
"The Islamic republic of Iran will bring its orchestrators and perpetrators to justice," it concluded.
The tweet came on the occasion of the second martyrdom anniversary of General Soleimani, the commander of the Quds Force of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), and Iraq's Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) deputy head Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis.
The top anti-terror commanders were assassinated along with their companions in a US drone strike authorized by former President Donald Trump near Baghdad International Airport on January 3, 2020.
Two days after the US assassination operation, Iraqi lawmakers approved a bill demanding the withdrawal of all foreign military forces led by Washington.
