Iran Press/ Iran news: Ali Akbar Mehrabian said on Sunday that the Ministry of Energy signed agreements with private sector companies for the construction of 10,000-megawatt renewable power plants.
Mehrabian said that due to the shortcomings in the electricity industry, a plan offered was offered based on which 30,000 MW will be added to the country's electricity capacity, out of which 10,000 MW is renewable.
The Minister of Energy further said that 6000 MW would be added to the capacity of power plants in the coming summer to compensate for the deficits.
Mehrabian made the remarks at a ceremony of signing agreements between the private sector companies and the Ministry of Energy for the construction of renewable power plants for generating 10,000 MW electricity.
