Tehran (IP) - Foreign Ministry spokesman announced that nine Iranians who had traveled to Turkey to migrate would return to the country on Saturday.

Iran PressIran news: Saeed Khatibzadeh said on Saturday: "The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Iranian ambassadors to Turkey and Syria, and the Turkish and Syrian embassies in Iran cooperated to help the return of these people."

In September, there were reports that nine Iranians had been detained by Turkish police and handed over to militia groups in northern Syria.

The nine were in Turkey seeking asylum. After being detained by the Turkish government, they had introduced themselves as "Syrian Kurds" and were handed over to militia groups in Syria by the Turkish government.
